WHO IS IMMANUEL SELVARAJ?

Immanuel Selvaraj is the pre-selected Labor candidate for the NSW Federal seat of Mitchell, which is located in the north western suburbs of Sydney;
Immanuel has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Information Systems from the Central Queensland University;
A successful professional and business leader within the IT and digital industries for more than 25 years, he currently heads the Australia and New Zealand division of a $3.4 billion US-based software company as Senior Director of Solutions and Strategy;
Immanuel is also devoted to serving the community through his leadership of several local and Western Sydney-based community organisations;

WHAT IS THE ELECTORATE OF MITCHELL LIKE?

The federal NSW seat of Mitchell is located in the north western suburbs of Sydney ( Hills district of Sydney) and includes suburbs such as Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Belleville, Winston Hills, parts of Castle Hill, North Rocks, Rouse Hill etc – (you can find out more on the suburbs on the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) website);
The seat of Mitchell is currently held by the Minister Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alex Hawke;
The demographics of Mitchell are interesting with (9.6%) of the electorate’s population coming from a Chinese cultural background. (3.8%) of the electorate’s population were born in India and (1.7%) of the population were born in South Korea and the Philippines;

Immanuel is passionate about the needs of local businesses and wants to fight for more support for small businesses, and wants to support young and female entrepreneurs;
